Hello all was doing a banner for a school today problem is the text never looks that clean or sharp tried everything like smooth clean and sharp from the text menu but it still doesn't look that good to me so don't know what i'm doing wrong..Maybe it's just the set on fonts i have or something..The bit i'm on about is the text across the middle..

It's to do with the format of the image being raster and not vector, i don't know a whole lot about this - r00d's the man you'd need to speak to pity he's not about much now.
If you were doing print based work you could save as EPS (i think) or AI from illustrator which are vector formats.
Have a read here anyways(page 2 vector) - http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/aboutgraphics/a/bitmapvector.htm

you image looks okay to me anyways, when i first looked i thought you wanted the tiny text on logo to be visable. You could maybe try a 1pt stroke of a few shades darker than colour of the actual text to make it stand out more.

Just a litte one how much would that cost if a design company was to do the banner for a site as the person did offer me some money for doing it but i said as it was for a school they could have it has they would have more money for books :)
