what are you using to import the songs? iTunes?
I remember reading somewhere that a plugin has been released for Winamp that allows you to manage your iPod playlists, copy songs to and from the iPod, and plenty of other things... I forget where I saw it, but I'll see if I can find it again. Apparently it's a lot better than using iTunes.

i thought if they werent AAC that you could rip your mp3's by hand (using your own favorite program) and then copy/paste them to the ipod like an external HD
though i dont have one thats how a friend of mine did it
or atleast thats what he said...

How are you finding the mini, i'm debating on getting one myself, with the price of DUO cards for the PSP, it makes sense to buy a seperate MP3 player, i'm sick of having to delete podcasts to add more.

i found that my collection would have required 2 mini's to fill, but i don't want to exchange it for an ipod since i'd never fill that. i just made 2 massive playlists (4gb each) and will swap when i get sick of repeats.
804 vs. 809 songs, so it split pretty well.
LOVING it for cycle riding, just have to find better earbuds now.
