Each month we're going to have a Photo of the Month. Usually it will be something seasonal that is relevant to that current month.
PLEASE guys, no matter if you've taken 1 or 1,000,000 pics in your life, submit something!! Photography is a tonne of fun, and worst case scenario, we get to see a second of the world through someone else's eye (lens as it were).
At the moment we're having you guys e-mail us the pics and we'll post them for you but I've been looking into different submission formats...stay tuned.
Rules are simple...
1. Must be YOUR original work
2. Can be taken digitally, or a film scan
3. Small touchups(sharpening etc) may be performed digitally but must be mainly original shot.
4. The user grants OPTICAL-EDGE and it's admins permission to freely use any images submitted for use as they see fit. *Submitting an image to the contest is giving consent to do so.*
5. Users are encouraged to submit up to 10 images for each monthly contest.
6. Admins will vote on the users images and select one of the images to represent them in the monthly voting.
7. Have fun! Thats the purpose behind this!
Subject for May 2005= Flower Power
It can be a shot in your garden, at the garden centre in a local park WHATEVER! Doesn't HAVE to be macro, can be a bunch of flowers or a single petal.
Prizes:
1. Each monthly winner will be eligible to recieve their very own @optical-edge.net or @cdretc.com e-mail addy.
2. At the end of the year each monthly winner will recieve a calander featuring all of the winning images.
