whats the fly sitting on ?
and isnt it a bee or something w/ that coloration
most flys i have seen are blackish w/ either a red or green iradescent color to them

Think it may be a wasp wish the pic was more in focus, it's setting on a plastic duck thats in my pond..

yep its a european wasp :) and damn they have a nasty bite, ive been bitten a few times myself :P
