Splinter cell chaos theory

Guys, Anyone playing this game? I am but something happened and it locked up and my default profile was damaged and I lost my game saves. I was in the 9 mission The Bathhouse. Now I found a file with game saves but when I extract them into the default profile they don't come up when I load the game. I uninstalled the game and re-installed it and extracted them to the new default profile and still won't work. I would hate to have to start all over again. Does anyone know how I get these files to work or does anyone have game save files using the default profile they can send me? I called Ubisoft and they told me to uninstall and reinstall and try it they also said the reason it may not be working is the save files may be under a different profile name. The readme file in the game has where and how to get to the game save folder. Even if someone has save files under a different profile name, I could try creating that profile name and load the files under that name and see if that works. Or even a site that has game save files for this under the default profile or a listed profile name.
Any help would be great.

have you tried creating a profile
playing the game for 5 sec, saving a game
then copy the save game files into there?

ive had to do that in the past b/c i forgot the dir that the files went into

UNLESS, its one of those lovely things
where you get the latest patch for the game and your savegames are useless (or does that not happen anymore - hehe)

Thanks freonchill I tried that but no luck. So I went back and re-played the game and I finished it a few days ago. The game is really good.
