How do you find the site speed?

How do you guys find the site speed? That was the main reason we switched servers, the old server had too much downtime for our liking, and it got waaaay too slow at times.

Well to put it bluntly the old server was shithouse, some time taking minutes to load a page, so far im liking this new host :)

can't seem to stay logged in for anything, and logging in from the frontpage gives me post errors.

hope it's just a move issue.

what url were you using to access the site? cdretc.com or optical-edge.net? I've been using the OE one and haven't been having any problem at all :wtf:

I think this could be to do with a clash with the cookie from phpbb maybe, try clearing your local DNS and firefox/IE cache and trying again guys.

The server is no doubt faster, but I think that vBulletin is just coded much more efficiently than phpBB... so I'm sure it's a little bit of both :)

hey... I just a quick comment.... speed is great... but when OE gets big again just make sure you increase your Bandwidth because another Vbulletion site crashed. and it was down for quite a while

Thanks for the heads up :) but I don't think we're gonna be running out of bandwidth anytime soon lol. With the new host we now have more bandwidth to use in a month than we did in a whole year on the old host lol.

if we use our bandwidth at the same rate that he have been over the last 2 days, we're set to use about 4gb this month... with our host we have 400gb of bandwidth... not saying that I don't want alot of people to join though!

Dude...don't worry, we WILL NOT run out of Bandwidth
We have over 400 GB of bandwidth/month. This won't be an issue.
