well, i HAD to copy the post, he copied my system :)
anyway, specs anny specs!
i'm running the new build now, short the lcd, darn thing was DOA, but the second will be here in two days. that one had better work.
2.45ghz stable now, which is short of what my epox nforce3 could do (although i haven't tried higher yet) and i'm at 71k in aquamark with the new x800xl.
thankful to be back with ati, not that nvidia graphics are bad, but i much prefer the monthly driver updates of ati....at least i feel like i'm getting more out of it that way.

Lothodon,
how do you like your new msi nforce4 motherboard . ?

so far it's amazing. i'm much more impressed with this than the via i just used. black board, neon plugs, pretty sweet looking.
perfomance wise, it's blowing the via away. i'm not at 2.5ghz (250mhz 1:1 cpu:mem) and stable as a rock. 72k in aquamark3 now.
other than testing for the top limit, i'll be running at this speed 24/7 so to speak.
the pci-x vid card doesn't require additional power...how long has it been since you've seen that in a high end card? seems to me like something is missing.

If that second LCD arrives DOA, we'll have to arrange an OE trip to Hyundai stopping in at newegg on the way.
Yeah i went for the AX8 this time, i know it's the via, but i was really impressed with the AV8 and it's just turned out the last 3 boards i bought being Abit.
I also went for the sapphire X800XL, after i saw the price on tuesday and read the hardocp review, there is no other card available right now that offers the performance for this price, be crazy to buy any other card.
I also ordered another SATA HD so i can set RAID up, can't wait.
Catch ya on msn. Nice one getting back to 2.5Ghz ;)

ok, update...ordered the VERY newly released arctic cooler for the x800xl, and i'm betting you will to anny.
damn that fan is a screeeeeeeeeamer. hard to find the coolers though, pretty new.
so back to the comparison for us eh?
nvidia vs. via all over again.

too late, i already bought it, and it was the wrong one arg, the site didn;t specify it had to be an R420 core to take the rev4 cooler, put i for an RMA.
