yea - i think now that everyone (well anyone who matters - right?) uses 2k or xp (or osX) that you arent going to have to haul around a driver cd for these to work
yea - they are getting around the $50-75 range here also and im debating on getting one
just wish someone would right a review on the 1gb versions - last DETAILED review i was was for the 128/256 models - in which the fuji won on overall speed (read & write)

my boss has a 128MB gizmo and it's really small, the drive comes with software installed actually on itself that lets you password protect parts of it, havnt played much but seems decent, really want a high capacity drive myself too.

Best gadgit I ever purchased. I have the PNY 512MB. I used to use zip disks. What a joke those were. 8)

can we get an HDtach profile of that drive ?
screenshot of it will be sufficient (hdtach 3.1.0.0 - http://www.simplisoftware.com/Public/index.php?request=HdTach)

You-know, just this weekend when I was running diskkeeper on my harddrives, and for the hell of it, I click on the Lexar Jump Drive & diskkeeper defrag it. This weekend I will run HDTach on it. 8)
chill, that link was dead.

Just wait until motherboards start using them right on the the board.
Just think about it! How fast could you boot your pc without using a hard drive to load into windows!
WOW!

I've got a 1gig, a 512meg, and a 256meg. Been using them since they first came out. I would feel nekid without one in my pocket (carry the 1gig everywhere). If I had a choice between my flash drive and my cell phone, I'd pick my flash drive every time. I really don't think speed is much of an issue as long as it's USB2. The fact that you have what you need, where you need it, is much more impotant than sheer speed. (go cheap, be happy, use the rest of your money for beer)

now for the fun part, you can make them bootable like a c: drive for firmware and bios flashes now. i've got 2 256's and a 32 (old) and use the 32 for a boot drive.
talk about booting to the c: fast, i too cannot wait until motherboards boot to these internally. mind blowing fast.
