Is this a HD TV card?

I told that all HD TV cards will be banded for sale in the USA after July 1 2005.

I would like to buy one before they are taken off the market!

Well i nearly didn't get the card today as i had just woke up when the door bell went, so running down stairs with my man boobs hanging out and my fly undone i just opened the door in time as the post man wrote his little note saying call back tomorrow "but i got there"
All fitted ok easy as pie like all pci work right out of the box installed software and drivers did a restart clicked the icon to get started and within a min all TV and radio channels were stored and everything was up and running...Have to say the software that comes with the card has so many options you could swing two pigs at it and there would still be some left..It has a very easy TV recording options for each week with a web update TV guide with can be set to auto download each day which you then just click on the and thats it set to go..But now the bad bit as i think everyone knows LCD Monitors in my eyes just don't cut the mustard when watching TV, there just not as clear. Could just be my eyes, but the pic is still good but think it would look better on a CRT......Also for the money (about ?130 with vat) i think they could throw in a male to male aerial lead as i spend most of the morning running around with my bouncy man boobs looking for a lead...As for the HD TV thing i think it does but we don't have it in the UK yet so i can't give anymore info sorry....

Eyerex,

Cool Lookin' Card. I wonder if there is a NTSC Version. I'd love to be able to send streaming TV Video around the house on the Wireless LAN.

As far as HDTV goes, the PAL System in Britain is vastly superior to the Crappy NTSC system over here. I vaguely remember it's 650 Line Progressive already. HD here begins at 720 so there won't be much visible improvement over what you already have

Enjoy :!:

damn that looks impressive Beaker, late last year i looked into a digital reciever for my computer but never actually got one. I gota ask though how much of your computers resources does it use? RAM, cpu speed etc? and how much of a difference between just watching TV and recording it?
cheers :) :)

When running full screen it's about 15% CPU usage, when minimised to task bar and recording it's only about 4% Been using it for a few days now and i love the thing, it's great just recording digitally and having a nice file which you then just pop in to Ulead DVD MovieFactory which will sort out the menus and chapter points for you. On the funny side if there is a few TV programmes you want to record at the same time on different channels you can record all the channels at once and then go through them and re-edit out programmes you want as if you were watching them live at the time..Think it's something to do with recording the whole multiplex, you will need a big hard drive to do it..Also comes with 7 day Tv guide which you just update each day..When you want to watch your recodings just use the remote and it's just like a video and it will play back your files...."i'm loving it" .....

Your TV aerial needs looking at so get up on the roof or get one to sit in loft which is easier but you will lose a little bit of signal. Do you know anyone getting good signal you could take pc round to test

Plus my transmitter at Crystal palace would beat yours in top trumps

If you ever want to edit the the TV programmes you have recorded with your nebula i always use MPEG Video Wizard DVD from womble as it's the only software i've found that doesn't make the files run out of sync. Both MPEG Video Wizard DVD and MPEG Video Wizard will do the same job just that the DVD version give you the option to output to DVD

did you install the drivers yet? if so and its not working ,remove the driver then switch off.
remove the card from your pci slot then switch back on
then switch off replace the card and put the driver disc in a cd drive

xp will then recognise new hardware and ask to install the drivers from cd which you shud do
then bob shud be your mothers brother

i think i know what the problem was. it was something to do with WMV with is windows media video me thinks, and last night i installed a newer version of that, so i think that fixed it.
